Control of darksided and white cutworm.
Cutworm activity is highest at night — apply during the late afternoon or in the evening. Cutworms may migrate to tobacco fields from bordering areas. Where permitted, treat field edges according to label directions.
See Treatment Thresholds for Tobacco Insect Pests for information on monitoring and application thresholds for this insect.
Follow the label rates and instructions specific to the application type selected (soil, cover crop or post transplant foliar). Maximum applications specified on product labels generally refer to the total applications to the field per year - do not exceed 2 total applications to the field per year, regardless of application method.
Pest control product labels for tobacco typically list rates for broadcast applications, with some exceptions. To convert broadcast rates to banded application rates over the tobacco row, see Calculating Banded Applications to Tobacco.
